It finally feels like Spring but I don't think it is going to last long! :( I can't believe next week is our last week before Spring Break! We have learned so much this year and it feels like it is going by so quickly. I am very proud of the progress everyone has made! Next week we will be finishing up our nursery rhyme unit and working on the last letter of the alphabet, Z. Here are our plans...
Monday: The students will be making musical instruments with paper plates and beans. They will also get the chance to work on the computer and play in the sensory table. Ms. Shelly will be in to work with the students as well.
Tuesday: The class will be tracing the letter Z, working on a Jack be Nimble activity, and mixing paint. Since Spring will have officially started, we will be making butterflies to hang in the room.
Wednesday: Students will get the chance to do a Jack and Jill color, cut, and paste activity. They will also make flowers with their hand prints and do a Z cut and paste. The students will get the chance to work with play dough as well.
Thursday: We will be making Little Boy Blue puppets, creating zany art, and working with water in the sensory table. The students will also get the chance to review their alphabet with a bean bag toss game.
Friday: We will be painting on the easel, working with play dough, and working on the computer. Ms. Jacki will be in to work with students as well.

We had a lot of fun this week working on nursery rhymes and the letter X. The students even got to make their own X-rays!!! Next week we will be working on the letter Y and learning some more nursery rhymes. Here are the plans for next week...
Monday: We will introduce the letter Y, play with playdough, and work on the computers. Ms. Shelly will be in to work with the students.
Tuesday: The students will be working on Hey Diddle Diddle and tracing the letter Y. They will also get to play nursery rhyme BINGO and work in the sensory table.
Wednesday: The class will be making a Little Miss Muffet activity and a Saint Patrick's Day collage. They will also get to play a bean bag toss ABC game and work on Y words.
Thursday: Students will get to make Three Little Kitten puppets and play an ABC game. They will also make a mosaic flower and work with playdough.
Friday: We will be viewing what we have learned through out the week. Ms. Jacki will be here to work with the students as well.

Our nursery rhyme unit started off great this week. The students are really excited to learn new ones and hear ones that they knew already. The alphabet is coming to a close soon. Next week is letter X! This year is going by fast. Spring is on its way! Here are the plans for next week…
Monday: We will be introducing the letter X and reviewing the nursery rhymes we have already been introduced to. Ms. Shelly will be in to work with the students as well as Ms. Kari.
Tuesday: The students will trace the letter X, play nursery rhyme BINGO, and make a giant rainbow for the bulletin board in the hallway. The students will also get to make a lamb from the nursery rhyme, Mary had a Little Lamb.
Wednesday: Students will get the chance to make some twinkling stars from the nursery rhyme Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star. They will be making an X-ray of their hand, work in the sensory table, and play an ABC matching game.
Thursday: We will be making Old King Cole crowns, playing ABC mystery, and making a fruit loops rainbow. The students will also make a pot of gold to go with our rainbow bulletin board.
Friday: No school due to parent/teacher conferences.
