Our Halloween party was a success! I feel that the students had a lot of fun dressing up and playing some Halloween themed games. Thanks to all the parents that were able to help with this party. We are looking forward to starting the month of November. Our main theme for the month is family. Our activities will work with this theme and also other things that happen in November. Here are the plans for next week...

Wednesday: The students will be making scary spider gloves. They will also make a mail bag. For the letter H they will practice tracing the letter H and they will fish for H’s.

Thursday: We will be having our Halloween party and the students are encouraged to come to school dressed in their Halloween costumes. We will be making Halloween crafts and playing lots of Halloween themed games. If you are helping with this party it will start at 10:30. Thanks for your help in advance!

A lot of things went on this week. We were able to do progress reports on all of the students. Our year is quickly moving by! I can’t believe Halloween is around the corner. Ms. Renata is a really great addition to our group. The students are adjusting well to a new teacher. I am really looking forward to next week. We have a lot of fun activities planned. Here are our plans:

Monday: We will be introducing the letter G and doing a fun hands on activity with an actual pumpkin. Ms. Shelly will be in to work with the students as well.

Tuesday: We will be making police badges and we will also be able to explore the inside of a pumpkin. One of our stations will be working on our colors. We will also practice with different position words (ex. On, over, around, behind, under, etc.).

Wednesday: We will be having our second early dismissal. Students that are picked up by parents will be dismissed at 10:30 am. If your student takes the bus they will all be riding the same bus and will be leaving school around 11:05. Please let me know if your transportation is going to be changed on this day. Thanks!

On this day we will be doing stations that deal with police officers and other community helpers. We will also be practicing writing our names and our letters that we have been working on so far. The students will work in the sensory table to find the letter G.

Thursday: This is the day of our field trip to the pumpkin farm. We will be leaving at 9:05 so be sure to drop your students off on time, if you drive them to school. Be sure to dress for the weather since we will be outside for the entire trip.

Friday: Ms. Jacki will be in to work with the students. The student will get the chance to use the computers. We will review the letter G and our different community helpers.
