Our nursery rhyme unit started off great this week. The students are really excited to learn new ones and hear ones that they knew already. The alphabet is coming to a close soon. Next week is letter X! This year is going by fast. Spring is on its way! Here are the plans for next week…

Monday: We will be introducing the letter X and reviewing the nursery rhymes we have already been introduced to. Ms. Shelly will be in to work with the students as well as Ms. Kari.

Tuesday: The students will trace the letter X, play nursery rhyme BINGO, and make a giant rainbow for the bulletin board in the hallway. The students will also get to make a lamb from the nursery rhyme, Mary had a Little Lamb.

Wednesday: Students will get the chance to make some twinkling stars from the nursery rhyme Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star. They will be making an X-ray of their hand, work in the sensory table, and play an ABC matching game.

Thursday: We will be making Old King Cole crowns, playing ABC mystery, and making a fruit loops rainbow. The students will also make a pot of gold to go with our rainbow bulletin board.

Friday: No school due to parent/teacher conferences.
